This work is deeply rooted in African Caribbean movement, specifically the Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba and its relationship with the Diaspora. “Call & Response: Drum & Dances of the Bronx Diaspora” focuses on common threads shared by drumming from Africa, the Caribbean, and Central/South America.
