NURSES STATION, a web serles created and produced by City Theatre Project, addresses much more than theatre arts and film production. It is also a tool for teaching social awareness, cultural awareness, and tolerance.
The goal of the City Theatre Project is to create a safe, nurturing environment, where theatre and film is a tool to enhance self-esteem, self-expression and creativity, while encouraging respect and teamwork. However, this program addresses much more than theatre arts and film production. It is also a tool for teaching social awareness, cultural awareness, and tolerance. Through theatre we will explore what motivates characters to do what they do. What brought them to this point? How are these characters like people we know? Can we see ourselves in them? In understanding them, can we understand ourselves, and others?
