The mission of the Hope of Israel Senior Center is to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens of our community, providing a safe and congenial environment that supports members in retaining their independence and maintaining a sense of purpose in their lives. We work to create an environment where older adults will understand that aging does not have to limit their enjoyment of life. Since 1973 the Center has served older adults, 60 and over, providing a daily lunch program, health promotion activities, social services and arts programs to foster continued learning and creative expression. The Center is open Mon. through Fri. from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Center welcomes all seniors without regard to race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, handicap or national origin. Membership is free. The Center is funded in part through a contract with the NYC Department for the Aging.
