“Humans of the Bronx,” a multimedia visual arts project employing video and still photography. Takes inspiration from the “Humans of New York” blog which has become a social media phenomenon, seniors will be guided as they collect portraits and interviews of each other. The seniors will engage in peer-led interviews, filmed and recorded so that they might tell the stories of their lives. Seniors are very interested in leaving behind a message for younger generations as a kind of legacy. The subject matter of these stories will be determined by the desire of the seniors and the direction of the conversation during the interview process. The final product will be a film with two to three-minute segments, and a series of still photographs attached to narratives in text form.
