Yurby is a Dominican American singer-songwriter born and raised in the South Bronx. She is known for her mezzo-Soprano range and sultry voice. Her music fuses Blues, Alternative Rock, Latin pop, and R&B.She has been featured on the Spotify staff playlist (Created by Women in 2021) and Fordham University radio( WFUV) NY Slice 2021. Yurby is a graduate of The Institute of Audio Research, where she developed her skills in writing Lyrics, and Melody, and music production for visual media. Yurby has performed her original songs in numerous venues and festivals around the city, including Afro Latino Festival, Pianos, SOBS, The American Folk Museum, and Bronx Night Market in 2021. Yurby is also the founder of Bronx Noise, a space for women and the LGBT community to express and explore their musical gifts. Furthermore, she has curated various grassroots musical - and cultural showcases for at-risk- youth and special needs populations.
