Rabih Ahmed is a Ghanaian-American Muslim poet and educator from The Bronx. Her poetry is grounded within the rhythms and histories of the African diaspora. She has performed her poetry at the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and throughout the African diaspora.
Rabih is a 2020 BRIO Award winner and a 2019 Poets House Fellow. Her work was first recognized by the Department of Education where she was commissioned to South Africa to meet Nelson Mandela. Since then, her work appears on Literary Hub, Poets House, BronxNet TV, has been published in Freedom School, and is forthcoming in Obsidian.
Rabih is the founder of LOVE LIGHT & POETRY, a small business providing workshops to marginalized communities left on the peripheries of the literary world. Currently, she is working on her first collection of poetry, Manifestation.
