Agnes Murray’s lithographs, intaglio prints, monotypes, artist's books, drawings, photographs, watercolors, and oil paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally in curated and juried exhibits. Recently she has also returned to an exploration of ceramic form. Born in Washington, DC, she earned a B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park. She lived in the Bay Area for six years receiving her M.F.A. from the California College of the Arts, Oakland. After graduate school, she lived for two years in England where she began developing the visual content which continues to inform her work. She has lived in New York State since her return from the U.K. Her work is in national and international collections including Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris; Brooklyn Museum; Library of Congress; Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, Utica, NY; Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and other public and private collections.
