The Orchestra of The Bronx will present three professional orchestra concerts at Lehman College without admission charge for the Bronx community in 2024, continuing a tradition of high quality offerings to Bronxites begun in 1972.
The Orchestra of The Bronx is The Bronx's only professional symphony orchestra. Our mission, fulfilled since our founding in 1972, is to present concerts of different sizes and shapes in venues all over our borough. Our musicians have also been seen and heard in other parts of New York City, most notably at several 9/11 commemorations at the World Trade Center site. Since 2005, we have also presented The Bronx Messiah; this year (for the first time) this acclaimed presentation will be seen at the Orchestra's home, Lehman College's Lovinger Theatre. As always, all concerts will be presented free of charge.
