BCA is thrilled to partner with the Bronx and Harlem Rivers Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP) and the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) to present the Harlem River Artist in Residence Program. This residency program invites artists from all disciplines to engage with the Harlem River community in exploring critical water and environmental issues, bringing fresh voices and perspectives to the forefront during this transformative residency experience.
The residency program offers:
· A total of $72,000 is available to the selected artist(s)
· A 13-month residency beginning in March 2025
· Opportunities to connect with and learn about the Harlem River and its community
· A chance to develop a cultural project that reflects the community, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by these waterways
