“Those ‘70s Shows,” is a filmed arts project that takes inspiration from the classic sitcom era of the 1970s, as well as more recent nostalgia for the period presented in television shows such as “That ‘70s Show” and Netflix’s “The Get Down”. It will also consider Spanish language telenovelas. The project will engage seniors (ages 60 and over) at three BronxWorks locations in the Morris Heights neighborhood: our Heights Neighborhood Senior Center, our East Concourse Senior Center, and our Roberto Clemente Senior Services Office. The final product will be short films that parody, spoof, and pay homage to popular and classic 1970s era television programs – mainly sitcoms but also perhaps evening soaps and action/adventure shows.
