Cultural and Music Workshops will be based on creating, organizing and conducting cultural and music workshops for the community of all ages. Workshops will include teaching Puerto Rican cultural songs, dance and instrument instruction. It will include history lessons on the background of Bomba and Plena music for cultural development and empowerment.
El Rincón Criollo Centro Cultural Inc. is a Bronx-based nonprofit organization committed to providing a green space for the Melrose community. Our work as a cultural center for over 40 years has maintained an environment where Puerto Rican music, art and culture is exchanged, taught, and sustained through annual events and social gatherings. As a community garden, we provide resources and healthy food access. We aim to empower and support the Melrose community.
