Participants at selected BronxWorks older adult centers will create patches inspired by themes of Hip Hop and Salsa music that will be sewn into a unity quilt, bringing all participants together in homage to their culture. The project will end with events at each center and one grand culminating event.
Since its founding in 1972, BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, we feed, shelter, teach, and support our neighbors to build a stronger Bronx community. As a Bronx-based settlement house, we engage over 64,000 individuals and families across over 50 locations throughout the borough.
