Lacking professional development resources and connectivity to industry insiders lies at the heart of our mission work—our call to action. The Bronx Independent Cinema Center supports local filmmakers by producing an annual workshop series focused on training them to produce feature length films—movies with a run time over 45 minutes.
The Bronx Independent Cinema Center seeks to develop an independent movie theater/incubator space in the Fordham area of The Bronx by 2024. With that space, we will work to increase diversity and career opportunities within the film and television industry. We believe visual storytelling is essential; through screenings of independent films and mentorship, we will create a new class of filmmakers that can navigate all aspects of the industry.
