Barefoot Dancing (BFD) forms the centerpiece of Van Cortlandt Park Conservancy's free interactive multicultural performing arts programming. BFD, held on 5 Thursday evenings in July and August, attracts a broad spectrum of community members. Our partnership with Lotus Music & Dance brings authentic ethnic dance artists who are experts at interactive presentations to engage and inform enthusiastic audiences of children and adults. BFD, scheduled to be easily accessible for working parents, is held on the lawn of the historic Van Cortlandt House Museum, convenient to neighborhood residents and public transportation.
