Marcos de Jesús “de la Guagua” sings rhythmic healing narratives. His compositional voice emerged from a semester immersion in Afro-Boricua Bomba in Puerto Rico while studying for his BA in Dance from UW-Milwaukee. He continued full-time study in NYC at the Ailey School and as a scholarship student at the Graham School. He performed modern dance with a Latin touch with Annabella Gonzalez Dance Theater (AGDT) from 2007 to 2022.
