Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA) is a women-led, Bronx based, nonprofit cultural arts organization (501c3) established in 2011. BAFA began as a Language Preservation Initiative through which skilled volunteer instructors taught Bengali literacy, poetry, folk dance & music. The school has grown to now provide top quality & affordable training in classical South Asian arts, dance, and theater, thereby preserving the authentic heritage of the SA diaspora. BAFA programs offer year-round open enrollment and are accessible to students of all ages.
