Our Bodies: An Introduction to Fitzmaurice Voicework with Storytelling

Voice teacher Mel House - the creator of the award-winning comedy series HOT ANGRY MOM - leads a series of immersive workshops combining voicework and writing prompts. Participants will explore the Fitzmaurice approach to voicework, as they access embodied wisdom, for storytelling and creative writing around the theme of bodily autonomy.

With influences as diverse as Simone de Beauvoir, Audre Lorde, Issa Rae, Soraya Chemaly, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mel House creates work ranging from comedy/satire to drama/thrillers that focus on strong female characters and their authentic narratives. Mel is a multi-hyphenate artist - writer, producer, actor, comedian, mom and certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework, who believes that when women tap into our power, we create a more safe and equitable world.
