Blue Note Latino consists of two musical performances with two new original arrangements. Ray Martinez's intention is to expose Latin Jazz Fusion music to audiences that normally would not have the opportunity to listen it.
Ray Martinez is committed to motivating and inspiring audiences both young and mature to the magnificent music of Afro-Caribbean Jazz and Jazz. His musical innovation fuses Afro-Jazz (LatinJazz), theBlues, Funk and folklore rhythms of the Caribbean to create a familiar yet new sound. Ray Martinez’ Legacy incorporates jazz chord progression, 6/8 rhythms, Cha-Cha-Cha, Guaguanco, Samba, Funk and the Blues to create unique musical dynamics. Within its polyrhythms and melodies, you can hear the soul of Africa, the Blue Note, that element of musical expression which crosses the seas uniting not only the diverse African communities, but the spirit and heart of the world.
