Next Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 12-1:30 PM Eastern Time, NYC Create in Place will host a webinar on Creative Fiscal Sponsorship Models.
Presented by Social Impact Commons, this webinar discusses the latest practices and trends in fiscal sponsorship, as well as its 21st-century evolution into management commons--an approach to nonprofit resource sharing that centers equity and justice. Management commons is a reimagining of comprehensive or Model "A" fiscal sponsorship, which provides full nonprofit management backbone support. This model can serve as a platform to incubate a new project, or a way for established nonprofit arts organizations to share higher quality management support at lower cost--an alternative to stand-alone nonprofit formation and management. More familiar in the arts community is the Pre-approved Grant or Model "C" fiscal sponsorship, which allows access to grants and donations, but is more limited in other management supports.
Whether you're a fiscal sponsor or sponsored project, this presentation will offer valuable insight on both of these fiscal sponsorship models and how they can support the work of individual artists, collectives, and established arts organizations alike.
