Pianist and Composer Elio Villafranca will be performing with his Quartet at Lincoln Center’s campus on October 23rd. His quartet will feature Roxy Coss on saxophone, Francisco Mela on drums, and Peter Slavov on bass. At the concert, Elio will be releasing his very first Children’s book entitle WHO ATE THE PIE? A small number of books will be sold and signed by Elio at the concert.
Sit back and enjoy an evening with Cuban-born pianist, composer, and bandleader Elio Villafranca. Known for his inventive and ambitious projects that fuse Western jazz with a cross-continental array of influences, the program includes an extensive breadth of percussion and Latin rhythms, as well as the world premiere of a Jazz Coalition commission composition.
