In an interactive workshop drawing from the existing best practices and professional expertise of arts educators, we will explore social-emotional considerations in working with different student groups. This workshop will offer arts educators context and causality for the social-emotional needs of differentiated learners, key signs of trauma presentation, and tools for educator self-other awareness around creating healing-centered safe spaces for creating art while carefully centering the inevitable emergence of the student self.
