The next and last Bronx Memoir Project Workshop Series of the season, Beyond the Bios, takes place on Saturdays between February 24th and March 16th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM via Zoom and in-person at Wakefield Library (4100 Lowerre Pl, Bronx, NY 10466).
Just as with fiction, memoirists must develop characters that readers wish to follow, knowing their wants, needs, and motivations. To transcend cliches and stereotypes, writers must go beyond knowing these basic elements to create compelling characters. In this four-week hybrid series, novelist and hypnotherapist Sofia Quintero introduces writers to unconventional ways to uncover additional layers to the people who live in their story world – including the authors themselves.
Writers of all experience levels are welcome. Participants of the Bronx Memoir Project Workshop Series are eligible to submit their memoirs for consideration in the next Anthology.
