Linda Collazo is a professional opera singer and voice and piano teacher who resides and was born in the South Bronx, New York. Hailed as having a voice that is “elastic and luxurious…” (Ars Raving Mad), Linda has performed in venues all over the United States including at Carnegie Hall, Sarasota Opera, Lincoln Center, Repertorio Español, Pregones Theater, and The United Palace Theater. She is also a recipient of several awards including 1st place in the Bronx Arts Ensemble Young Artist Competition, 1st place in The Friday Woodmere Music Club Competition for Voice, and an encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Along with performing, Linda has also taught at several prestigious organizations and schools including at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, The Point C.D.C., and Open Hydrant Theater Company. Linda also holds her own private studio in the South Bronx, where she teaches over 20 students one-on-one to build their voices and piano playing skills.
