The inaugural NY4CA Advocates in Residence fellowship supports New York City-based artists of various disciplines with their advocacy efforts ranging from housing and healthcare to fair artist wages. This program is designed to work in tandem with artists' negotiating their art-making practices and advocacy efforts by providing a stipend for their advocacy and engagement of $500 each month for five months, and facilitating meetings for resource sharing and support related to advocacy interests.
