*To guarantee consideration of your proposal for the Open Call, please review and meet all application requirements prior to submission of your proposal. Thank you!
We’re excited to announce that our 2026 Open Call for exhibitions is now open!
Impacted by the open source movement—which promotes freely shared, educational software and information—Open Source Gallery applies a similar philosophy to create an approachable space dedicated to the accessibility of contemporary visual art. In addition to monthly exhibitions, which feature conceptually-driven art from both local and international artists, we offer many public programs that foster dialogue about art in our neighborhood.
For our 2026 Open Call, we invite applications from artists working in any medium and location, whose practices emphasize experimentation, sustainability, and social engagement. As part of this opportunity, selected artists will receive artist fees based on the W.A.G.E. certification schedule, a production budget, and support from Open Source in the form of planning, production and communications.
Application Materials (in a single PDF):
Project proposal (no more than 1000 words)
Artist statement (no more than 250 words)
Artist resume or cv
10 to 15 images of recent work in one PDF document and/or link to the artist website
Fee: Please go to our donate page and donate $10, and attach payment confirmation in the proposal email. This fee goes towards funding our programming.
For consideration for the 2026 Exhibition Open Call, please email a single pdf containing all application materials to submissions@opensourcegallery.org, with “Your Name, 2026 Exhibition Proposal” in the subject line.
Please review our website www.open-source-gallery.org or visit our gallery location for more information about the exhibition venue. You can download our gallery’s floor plan on our website.
Application Deadline:2024-11-03
