The Bronx Community College LGBTQI+ Resource Room is seeking artwork that expresses PRIDE in the LGBTQI+ experience. LGBTQI+ artists are invited to present original, contemporary works of art that celebrate LGBTQI+ pride, identity, and diversity.
The selection process will be made on various factors, including:
Artistic skill
Creative concept
Artist statements / description of the work
Jury Prizes:
First Place: $1200.
Second Place: $1000.
Third Place: $500.
Special Award for a current CUNY student: $300. (Must be able to provide proof.)
Categories Accepted:
Fine Art: (Pictures of) painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, mixed media, fiber art, ceramics, stoneware, stain glass. scanned film photography, and sculpture.
Fashion: Photograph of completed work.
Electronic Art: Pixel art, 2D and 3D animation, digital photography. Videos must not exceed five minutes
Performance Art: Videos must not exceed five minutes.
No nudity please.
