The 42nd Annual Juried Art Exhibition will take place in the Main Gallery from November 13, 2020- January 3, 2021
Opening Reception: November 14, 2020; 3-5pm
Deadline to Submit: Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Midnight EST.
Museum Statement:
Since the Annual Juried Art Exhibition was founded by the Monmouth County Arts Council in 1979, the exhibition has been presented at the Monmouth Museum. In 2011 the Monmouth Museum assumed complete sponsorship of the exhibition. The same year, the museum expanded the call for entries to be international. As a result, the Annual Juried Art Exhibition has become a refreshing representation of creative talent from around the world. Alongside local New Jersey artists, the Annual Juried Art Exhibition has included artists from Japan, Russia, Lithuania, Israel, and Germany.
This year, the Monmouth Museum presents the 42nd Annual Juried Art Exhibition. We are accepting artwork of all media and styles to feature in our Main Gallery and will be continuing our tradition of showcasing diverse and international art. We are also advancing our goal of focusing on the underrepresented in the arts and providing a platform for a broad group of artists. The Monmouth Museum's goal is to engage artists and the community in promoting inclusivity of gender, age, background, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and special needs.
