The Serviam Arts Club is a project created by and for the senior citizen residents who live at Serviam Gardens, a low-income senior citizen housing project in the Bronx that is managed by Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation. Our programming is funded through Fordham Bedford Community Services, as a sister organization. We build community among the seniors and give them a renewed purpose through participation in Art Classes. There are three subcomponents to our project: Arts & Crafts Class, Painting Class, & the Serviam Choir. The interests of our residents have shifted over the years and our project has transformed because of that, which ensures that our project stays relevant to our seniors.
