Glenn Potter-Takata

Glenn Potter-Takata is a 2022 Bronx Dance Fund Award recipient, a current Movement Research artist-in-residence, a current Mabou Mines SUITE/Space artist, and a current Rogers Art Loft artist-in-residence. He has also developed work through residencies at Gibney Dance Center and CUNY Dance Initiative at Lehman College. Glenn has performed in and around all of New York City’s five boroughs. His work has been presented as part of programs at Center for Performance Research, Abrons Art Center, Gibney Dance Center, Arts On Site, Triskelion Arts, HERE Arts Center, Dixon Place, CUNY Lehman College, and with New Dance Alliance’s Performance Mix, WestFest, Pioneers Go East, Amanda + James, and Movement Research at Judson Church. Glenn is the curator of Butoh What, an annual performance event supporting artists working in and expanding the butoh genre of performance. His written work has appeared in Movement Research’s Critical Correspondence journal. Glenn currently teaches Sound Design and Video & Media Design at Sarah Lawrence College, where he also earned his MFA focusing in multimedia performance.
