The Morrisania Band Program (MBP) is presently a 14-week music project which launched September 14, 2016, and targets adult musicians, ages 17 and up for artist development workshops and weekly band rehearsal. The goals are to create wider exposure and opportunities for the Morrisania Band, a Bronx performing group, and at the same time establish an ongoing cycle of community-based musical events showcasing local talent.
