tHe GEM. iN. I features a dancer and three instrumentalists, playing R&B, reggae, gospel, experimental music and spoken word with a range of inspirations from artists such as Tupac Shakur, to Buddhist chants, to Dr. Benjamin E. Mays. This work sheds new light on the self-image while digging deep in reclaiming embodied language.
