WALLWORKS NEW YORK is thrilled to present its next exhibition The Found Art of Thom Corn, opening to the public September 14, 2024.
This exhibition, co-curated by filmmaker Nancy August, features never before seen Thom Corn originals artworks. Recently found by the late artist’s landlord, the works showcase classic elements of Corn’s artwork.
When WALLWORKS NEW YORK first opened its doors at 39 Bruckner Blvd in The Bronx, a similar concept to that of Fashion MODA was followed. Art from the neighborhood was and is still showcased next to blue chip artists, artists whom understand and respect the culture that is already so rich and vast here in The Bronx. It only seems fitting that WALLWORKS be the place that shows these works of an often overlooked artist of such a major art scene.
“We invite you into our space and see these personal works—to see them for the very first time. To interact with them and each other. To create a conversation, an event, a happening.” - Anna Matos, Gallery Director.
