My Reflection: The Thrifty Art of Self Portraiture & Composing Your Own Style is a workshop hosted by Ariella Imena, film photographer, painter, and vintage stylist. The artist will explore ways to use what’s already around you to create and guide your style. From focusing on the use of second hand shops, thrift stores, yard sales and whats within your own community to revitalize an exciting image.
Ariella will be leading and openly engaging in how resourcefulness guides her creative practices, ways to cultivate vibrancy in your style, and fun & practical techniques to use in expressions such as self portraiture.
This workshop is part of the closing event for BCA's current Longwood Art Gallery Exhibition, Radical Elegance, a web-based fashion photography exhibit subverting and actively challenging the elitist practices in the field, along with the historical, technical, and stylistic approaches.
