Public Ofrenda | Camino a Mictlán: Día de Muertos Art Installation

Join us at Hostos as we come together to celebrate, create, and pay homage to the Day of the Dead.

The Public Ofrenda is open to all. All visitors are invited to contribute to this meaningful art installation by adding photographs and objects that represent a departed loved one, a community leader, a mentor, a teacher, a world figure and more. Your participation will help us to showcase the importance of this cherished tradition, providing an opportunity to celebrate the art of remembering.

Please note that we are unable to return offerings to the original owner, so please do not leave anything valuable or original. While a loved one’s favorite food is traditional to offer during Day of the Dead, we ask that you leave only non-perishable food items, and no liquids at all. We encourage you to substitute perishable foods for flowers, photos, drawings, labels or other creative alternatives.
