Come join us for a LIVE Descarga Jam Session! Jam sessions traditionally are known as impromptu meetings of a group of musicians, especially jazz musician, who do not regularly play together, for a special performance. A "descarga" is an improvised jam session consisting of variations on Cuban music themes, primarily son montuno, but also guajira, bolero, guaracha and rumba. The genre is strongly influenced by jazz and was developed in Havana during the 1950s. The event will bring together various musicians playing live in an improvisational way.
