The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) invites you to join us for an in-person photography workshop led by Josefina Fernandez Moran at Longwood Art Gallery @ Hostos.
In this workshop, students will learn the basic concepts of portrait photography including how to use light and the effects it can have on a photograph. Students will discuss composition and how to emphasize and add strength to an image with the use of props and the environment.
During the workshop, students will then put the teachings into practice by photographing each other and the surrounding.
As part of the Youth Engagement Program, this free workshop welcomes participants between the ages of 11-24. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
