Poets Network & Exchange presents Bronx Book Fair 2021. Our theme is Narratives: Art Activism, Creativity, Social Responsibility, Resiliency & Joy. This is a virtual event via Zoom. Featured programming includes panel discussions with Janel Cloyde Oyaande, Bertha Rogers, Troy Johnson, Nzinga Christina Reid, Adrienne Whaley, Edward D. Currelley, Ginnah Howard and Meredith Trede. Featured poet/spoken word/author presentations include but are not limited to Janice Nahshal, Yokairy Tavarez, Mutiu Olawuyi, Danielle Stelluto aka Poetical Dee, children's author & song stylist Colie Aziza, Yusef Salaam, Lee Pennington, John Burroughs, William F. DeVault, and Eva Petropoylou Lianoy. Keynote speaker International Education Expert and author Dr Rajika Bhandari. Bronx Keynote Speaker and Author In the Spotlight Author Derrick M. Guest.

Recognition Award Honorees: Maria Aponte, Keisha Molby Baez, Bobby Gonzalez and Janifer P. Wilson.

The Bronx Book Fair is the premiere literary event in the Bronx. Since 2013 at the Bronx Library Center, New York Public Library (hosting venue.) Our mission is to connect, encourage library usage and social engagement between community residents, authors, poets and writers.
Bronx Book Fair featured programming include panel discussions, keynote speakers, an author in the spotlight, poets/spoken word, authors presentations, publishers, book vendors, writing workshops and an open mic. Programming and events are free and open to the public.

In 2017 Lorraine Currelley made herstory by becoming the first female executive director. Under her leadership and that of Poets Network & Exchange the Bronx Book Fair has grown in attendance, expanded programming, vision and mission. She says, " We must create initiatives and use our platform as an opportunity to address the needs and concerns of our community."
