Fiction and Memoir Mini-Workshop
How’s your novel, memoir or short story going? Would you like some Free feedback and an audience? Publishers routinely ask for the “first 5 pages” of your novel in query letters to them. Here’s a chance to polish those pages!

Consecutive Tuesdays, March 25th and April 1 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Sponsored by Bronx Council on the Arts, BRIO Award and the University of Mount Saint Vincent and conducted by BRIO-award winning fiction and non-fiction writer Dr. Rob Jacklosky at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

If accepted into the workshop, you will receive the feedback of instructor and other students and likewise be expected to comment on the work of class. The workshop will In-person at the University of Mount Saint Vincent in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, and be a blend of undergraduates and adults.

If interested, please submit 5-10 pages of your work by March 18th to rob.jacklosky@umsv.edu. Send the work as an attachment to an email. The workshop will be limited to no more than 10 people, selected on a rolling basis from the manuscripts received. Preference will be given to the early birds.

Prof. Jacklosky’s work has been published in Dappled Things, Esquire, Sonora Review, Prairie Schooner, Sendero, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Dickens Studies Annual, Podium, and Bloom, among other places.
