CULTURAL ORGANIZING FOR COMMUNITY CHANGE | NOCD-NY and Arts & Democracy
Join fellow organizers, artists, media makers, and policy makers to learn effective ways to deepen your work and engage your creativity in organizing for community change. Convening in Gowanus, the day will include a cultural organizing framework, hands on skill building workshops, case studies from across NYC and beyond, and networking and resources. While it's ideal to attend the full day, we also welcome you to come for part of the time.

Reserve now! This event sells out quickly!

The event will include amalia deloney, Arts & Democracy; Michael Higgins Jr., Social Justice Tours; Dr. Charon Hribar and Ciara Taylor, Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice; Nick Slie, Mondo Bizarro; Carlton Turner, Sipp Culture; Urban Bush Women; and more! Agenda and sessions will be updated on the registration page as they are confirmed.

Sliding scale fee: $25, $50, $100. No one will be excluded due to an inability to pay. We rely on registration fees to cover workshop costs, so we encourage organizations with means to contribute on the upper end of this scale. Group rates available. Email info@nocdny.org to request a reduced fee, group rate, or comp.

Order a lunch at registration (add lunch by scrolling below your admission choice in the ticket window) or bring your own!

We strive to host inclusive and accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. Mercury Store is ADA compliant. To request any additional accommodations, please include in your registration or email info@nocdny.org

Masks are optional. In order for us to feel safe, we encourage you to take a COVID test at home prior to joining us. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well or have recently been exposed to COVID.

We look forward to seeing you!
