Vocalist Elissa Carmona will collaborate with Morrisania Band Project (MBP) for a virtual performance of "Natural Woman", a 90-minute musical tribute to the life and music of Aretha Franklin. Goals are to honor the musical impact of a legendary performer, explore the artistic activism of Franklin’s signature songs, and strengthen the Bronx’s art culture. The performance will examine Franklin’s commitment to civil rights and the relevance of her music in today’s society.
