Join us for an experiential workshop series brought to you in collaboration with Teaching Artist Project (TAP). In this 3 part series, we will explore our Teaching Artist identity through individual and group artmaking, reflection, and discussion. Participants will have a deeper understanding of how their creative practice and teaching practice inform each other, and how to relate Teaching Artist skills into personal and professional goals. Participants will walk away with concrete techniques that will enhance their ability to teach through inquiry and reflection.
TAP is a collective of diversely experienced arts educators training emerging and working teaching artists who are looking for a supportive community to engage in a self-reflective, justice-oriented learning practice in service of their teaching. TAP enjoys collaborating with arts organizations providing professional development opportunities for New York City teaching artists, such as the Bronx Council of The Arts.
