Another Time, Another Country: An Evening of Writing, Celebration and Connection with Cheryl McCourtie

This two-hourlong workshop will target the many BCA participants and friends whose families are from other countries, and who want to write about how their origin stories affect their current narratives. Writing exercises will target how the five senses connect us to lands outside America. I will read from Brown Girl, Brownstones by Paule Marshall, the first book I read that represented a part of my own origin story and will share the experiences of other authors who straddle dual realities.
