Bronx Memoir Project Workshop: Indie Publishing in the Digital Age

Author, publisher, visual artist, and BRIO winner Orlando Ferrand will share the process for transforming a completed manuscript into a book that can be enjoyed by readers as both a repository of content and a work of art. He’ll discuss the steps that writers should consider and research before embarking on this journey, such as budgeting, self-editing, copyediting, book cover design, and marketing tools for social media. He’ll also address the importance of working with industry-standard software and will share resources available for creating and launching the most aesthetically pleasing and professional book possible, which will represent you and your brand.
