Bronx Memoir Project – Narrative Poetry Series

Beyond The Raven: Writing Narrative Poems of Bronx People, Places and Purpose: Set in the shadow of The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, this generative writing workshop series led by Peggy Robles- Alvarado explores narrative poems of contemporary poets that highlight distinctive people, obscure places and pulls at purpose as an impetus for storytelling.

Workshops will take place on the following Saturdays.

• October 19th 11:30 AM-1:30 PM


• October 26th 11:30 AM-12:45 PM


• November 9th 11:30 AM-1:30 PM


• November 16th 11:30 AM-1:30 PM

There will be no class on November 2nd.

Please note that you need to attend at least 3 out of 4 workshops to be considered for the publication at the end of the Bronx memoir Project workshop series.
