Noted writer and 2013 BRIO winner Natalie Caro will instruct workshop participants on the various components of project proposal submission. She will offer helpful tips and shed insight into writing persuasively to convince potential stakeholders that your project is worthy of their time and money. This will cover basic proposal writing strategies and how they reflect on project budgets. Natalie will also focus on curating a clear pitch and formulating achievable timelines. There will be an open brainstorm session to bring current project ideas for the purposes of development.

Natalie N. Caro is a Bronx-born educator, artivist, editor, a 2013 BRIO winner, and a 2015 Pushcart Prize Nominee. She holds a B.A. in English Literature and Philosophy from Lehman College/CUNY where she currently teaches composition and an MFA in Poetry from City College/CUNY where she was selected as one of the first recipients of the Creative Writing Fellowship.
