“Girls DJ Too” is a 3-week Intensive project that aims to provide access for girls and women-identified folks in The Bronx to learn DJ skills.
Each DJ class session will be about 2 hours and on the last day, students will demonstrate what they’ve learned at our public culminating event. During the program, students will learn the necessary skills to do the Jam Master Jay Challenge; students will spin instrumentals or beats while the special guest Emcee will freestyle. There will also be a Women DJ panel where each DJ will share their stories with the participants as a way for them to know that girl or women DJs exist.
