Submissions Sought from Bronx Arts Organizations and Artists
The Bronx Council on the Arts is seeking submissions from Bronx arts organizations and artists for new projects that have not taken place due to lack of funding or already scheduled projects for which additional funds would have a significant impact. Projects must end by June 30, 2008. 

Bronx based non-profit arts and cultural organizations with annual budgets under $100,000 and whose central mission is the production, preservation, publication, or demonstration of one or more art forms can apply. Independent artists who are unaffiliated can also apply. Artist collective should have a conduit or select an individual artist to serve as lead applicant.

The Arts world in this new millennium is a place full of vibrant and powerful works coming from a multitude of perspectives. The various grants, fellowships, residencies, and professional development information we share with you on BCA's grants page is to help you, our artists, find the financial resources and support to realize your creative vision. Our BRIO Award (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) serves as our flagship, honoring the very best of the many talented people of our community. This grants page will also serve as a centralized database of all of our information on funding sources for artists. We have made many of our applications downloadable in .doc or .pdf form for your convenience, and we will provide links to every available resource in order to serve our community the way you deserve to be treated.

• Arts-in-Education Grants (Sponsored by New York State Council on the Arts) - provides funds for artists and organizations to work in Bronx schools.

• Cultural Venture Fund - provides start-up funding and long-term technical assistance for earned income entrepreneurial ventures initiated by cultural organizations.

• Chapter One - provides opportunities for emerging novelists to share their work with an audience, while emphasizing the importance of a strong first chapter.
