About BCA
Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) is celebrating almost 50 years as a private, non-profit membership organization that is the official cultural agency of Bronx County. Recognized nationally as a leading arts service organization in providing cultural services and arts programs, BCA serves a multicultural constituency of almost 1.4 million residents. BCA provides an array of services to 5,000 artists and more than 250 arts and community-based organizations.
Cultural Services
Basic cultural services include direct financial support to individual artists and non-profit organizations, information services, technical assistance, education and community programming, advocacy and the operation of our Longwood Arts Project, an exhibition gallery and cyber arts program, and the Bronx Writers Center, an initiative dedicated to the creative and professional development of our writers.

BCA provides cutting edge programming in arts education and cultural strategiesto help revitalize local communities. It designs and implements programs that focus attention on issues of concern to Bronx residents including: job training, financial stabilization, independent contracting, business startups, environmental concerns, and health related issues. |

BCA FACTS
BCA is the central clearinghouse for information on culture and arts in the Bronx.
BCA provides funds to Bronx not for profit arts organizations to support projects in the literary, media, performing and visual arts
BCA provides consultations and other technical assistance in fundraising, marketing, program planning, board development and financial management.
BCA through our grants program sponsors community cultural programs, workshops and lectures/demonstrations throughout the borough reaching Bronxites of all ages
BCA provides financial support to artists through fellowships, awards, grants and employment
BCA circulates information to the arts community on opportunities for artistic and career development
BCA coordinates arts and education services and programs in the public schools of The Bronx, such as planning, presentations, curriculum development, teacher and artist training, etc.
